As most of you noticed already, many countries have stopped shipping to US after it´s been announced that US charges tariffs now on all imported goods.

Luckily after a month of waiting, DHL has opened shipping to US again.

Since the tariffs introduced a new (forced) shipping system though, we needed to test things out first! That´s why we made a DDP test order with a test buyer from US. We´re currently only waiting for the customs papers to arrive here so we can see if our tariff tool we integrated into the shop works correctly. Once we do know, we will update this text here with further informations since we´re then opening the shipping to USA again!

Envelope shipping for cards and stickers is already available to US.

- What´s DDP?
DDP means Delivered Duties Paid and is a shipping method. This means, tariffs have been paid by the customer in the checkout already. Orders will go smoothly through import and end at the customers hands without issues. Once received, the seller receives a message from US borders about the bill (tariffs) to pay to them. Customers have no extra work!

- Is there a way to get cheaper US shipping?
Currently not. It´s unclear when and if the cheaper warepost option will return for US customers.

- Why do I have to pay tariffs?
All US customers now have to pay tariffs which are import fees and taxes. Before Trumps demand of tariffs in August 2025, there was a de minimis rule that allowed imports to be tax free until 800$. Until someone decided to lift the changes to imports that where set in US, the tariffs are sadly here to stay.

- Should I wait with my order until cheaper warepost is back?
We´d say no. Noone knows how long it will take to adapt warepost to DDP and even IF it will happen. Sadly customers of DHL are left hanging information wise. It might be more worth it to sit together with friends and order more at once so you can share the costs of shipping and tariffs.

- Can you change the value of my order for there to be less tariffs?
No, we can´t do this as it´s illegal and will put our business at risk.
